Logan

Hugh Jackman’s bid adieu as Wolverine, Logan will always be special for his fans like me. The movie was not your run of the mill in the league of X-Men movie, it had a story with a purpose. Emotions in a proper dosage, Logan saw a bereaved end to many of our favourite superhero.
Coco

Another special offering from the magical combo of Disney & Pixar, Coco is surely going down the book of classics which includes movies like Wall E & Inside Out. Tracking down the Mexican tradition, Coco teaches us to love our family in the most quirkiest way possible. Enjoyable throughout, this also had an awe-stricken animation.
Thor: Ragnarok

After tackling the dark world, Thor finds him in a coup when he meets his old-bud Hulk. After an amazing battle scene between them both reunite to fight with Hela in order to protect Asgardian civilisation. Many calling it as one of the most entertaining superhero movies ever, Thor: Ragnarok had everything going in its favour.
Baby Driver

Yes, this was cliche-ridden but was so entry you ignore the loopholes. Exploring a different genre in thriller-musical, Baby Driver is literally the story of a guy named Baby who’s also the master driver. Working for the bad guys, Baby finds himself in a deal which was bound to get failed but how he manages to tackle it is what the story about.
The Big Sick

Kumail Nanjiani – Dinesh from Silicon Valley – falls in love with Emily Gardner but because of the culture clash, they both were not sure of any future together. Having strict parents, Kunal is emotionally manipulated to do an arranged marriage. Overall a very sweet Hollywood movie – rare to see these days.

Wonder Woman

When DC was suffering from the apocalypse created by Batman V Superman, Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman came to their rescue. Finally, a great story to narrate by DC, all thanks to Zack Snyder for not being a part of this film. It created havoc at the worldwide box office and also rose the excitement for Justice League but alas! Snyder.
Wonder

As I told in my review, Wonder is the most human attempt of telling a story which in itself is so complicated. It’s about a child suffering from face deformity & how he attempts to fit in with normal people. Beautifully narrated, amazingly written – surely deserves a place in this list.
Star Wars: The Last Jedi

Call me a fool but I loved this 8th episode of Star Wars. To my shock, this movie has unabashedly received many negative reviews all over. Yes, it has flaws but which film doesn’t? Never judge a movie by its loopholes, judge it by its entertainment values. According to my parameter, Star Wars: The Last Jedi not only entertained me to the core but also held me till the end.
Jumanji: Welcome To The Jungle

Never thought one of my favourite movies will get a remake but it’s here. Robin Williams’ Jumanji is adored by every 90’s kid. It’s back with an entertaining & modern twist having the mighty Dwayne Johnson as a nerd. A fun ride throughout, Jumanji: Welcome To The Jungle is having an amazing run at the box office too.
The Greatest Showman

Second Hugh Jackman movie on the list, The Greatest Showman is a musical painting on the screen. Celebrating humanity, Hugh’s portrayal of P.T. Barnum ended 2017 on a delightful note. One of the best movies too come out of Hollywood.
