After experimenting with different kind of roles, Shah Rukh Khan did Raees to get in the skin of an anti-hero character after a long time. It’s always said, “To act like a villain, you’ve to feel like one” and SRK surely did his homework very well with Raees.
Jolly LLB will always be remembered for Arshad Warsi’s sincere performance & Akshay was back to fill his shoes. Akshay not only lived up to the expectations but also added his side of wittiness in the role. Rumours also were we can see both Jollys in the third part of the franchise. We just can wish that to happen!
From Humpty to Badrinath, characters were changed but the charm of Varun Dhawan remained the same. Backed by a good story, Varun did the character of a small-town guy so well in this movie. His chemistry with Alia Bhatt, yet again, was appreciated by one and all.
Starring in the biggest movie of the year, Prabhas was the nation’s darling this year. Lapping up a huge female fan base, he’ll always be known as Baahubali of Bollywood. His heroic presence in the film amassed numerous whistles and hoots.
He made the role of a frustrated Indian parent so relatable with his acting. Irrfan Khan, as usual, was in his quirky elements throughout but also had a fair share of emotions in him. This man just needs good writing and he can deliver anything even with his straight face.
A musical in which lead stammers! At present, it’s only Ranbir Kapoor who can even think to attempt something like this. At something so tough he was so effortless making everything a delightful experience.
Scoring his second nomination in the list, it’s on you to decide Akshay Kumar in Jolly LLB or in this one. Tackling a social issue yet his performance kept the audience entertained till the end.

Yes, this was tough! Not for Rajkummar Rao in the list but to choose for which film he should be nominated for. Newton and Trapped being the other two, Bareilly Ki Barfi had Rajkummar in a chaotically beautiful role. Running the race to win a girl, Rao won our hearts towards the end.
Finally getting his due, Ayushmann starred in two of the most sweetest films of the year – Bareilly Ki Barfi & Shubh Mangal Saavdhan. The movie explored an issue which is considered as a taboo in India, Ayushmann’s presence made this movie a sugar rush.
The second actor only to Akshay Kumar to have 2 movies on the list, Varun Dhawan filled in the shoes of Salman Khan in this Judwaa adaption. With his impeccable comic timing, Varun maintained his hit-movies spree with this film.
Back as Tiger, Salman Khan roared his success at the box office with Tiger Zinda Hai. Ali Abbas Zafar’s outstanding attempt of making an espionage thriller, this movie will be remembered for Salman’s truthful attempt at being a dapper spy.
