Those who have seen Game Of Thrones will remember Diana Rigg’s otherworldly stint in the show. Her character Lady Olenna Tyrell’s final lines “Tell Cersei. I Want Her To Know It Was Me” remain one of the most goosebumps-evoking moments of the show. The actress has passed away at the age of 82 at her home in England.
In the 1960s, she rose to prominence with her appearance of an intelligence agent Emma Peel in The Avengers. But Game Of Thrones’ character of Lady Olenna Tyrell gave her career the required boost. She was known for her fierce and sharp acting skills.
In a report published by Variety, Lionel Larner, Diana Rigg’s longtime friend and talent agent said, “She was a beautiful kind and generous human being that enhanced the lives of all that knew her as well as a great actress. She leaves a great void in my heart.”

On Game Of Thrones, Diana was also known as Queen of Thorns. She made an electric entrance in the third season (2013) of the show. For three consecutive years from 2013 to 2015, she was nominated for Emmy Awards for guest actress in a drama.
As far as her love life is concerned, she wedded an Israeli painter Menachem Gueffen in the year 1973. This didn’t go well, and the couple parted ways three years after their wedding.
Diana Rigg then stepped onto second marriage with a theatre producer Archibald Stirling. Unfortunately, even her second marriage lasted from 1982 till 1990. The reason behind them parting ways was Stirling’s affair with actress Joely Richardson.
