Last month a lot of Bollywood celebrities come forward to highlight the issue of inflated electricity bills including Taapsee Pannu, Soha Ali Khan, Zoya Akhtar and the latest addition to the same was actor Arshad Warsi.

Arshad Warsi had earlier tweeted stating that 1.03 lacs was deducted from his account for his electricity bill. Later, he offered to sell off his painting to pay his electricity bill and save his kidney for the payment of next month’s electricity bill.

The Munna Bhai MBBS actor has apparently mentioned it as ‘highway robbery’ which grabbed eyeballs of netizens as well as Adani.

For the unversed, Adani is the Indian power conglomerate that provides electricity in the city.

Although later he revealed that the issue has been solved and tweeted:

Now, CEO of AEML, Kandarp Patel had organised teleconferencing for the media and did speak about Arshad Warsi’s tweet and called it ‘Derogatory’.

Kandarp Patel said, “Arshad Warsi’s statement was derogatory and was of a personal nature against a corporate leader. We connected to him immediately after it surfaced and requested him to revoke that tweet and he made another tweet after that and was convinced about his billing. But he is an influencer and he should not have used such language.”
