In today’s piece, we will let you know something interesting about Daya Shankar Pandey aka Inspector Chaalu Pandey.

Over the years, the ‘part-time’ character of Inspector Chaalu Pandey played by Daya Shankar Pandey, has become an integral part of the show. Not just that, he is also amongst the beloved characters from the show. His catchphrase “Hum Hain Inspector Chaalu Pandey, Jhuth Bologe Toh Padenge Dande” is a big hit amongst masses.

But how many of you know, Daya Shankar Pandey also handles an important responsibility behind the scenes. Yes, you read that right! Daya Shankar Pandey is a creative consultant of the show. He has given some important inputs regarding characters and storylines, over the years. Interestingly, even before joining the cast, Pandey was already part of the show as a creative consultant.

Meanwhile, Pandey recently revealed of being a part of John Abraham’s Satyameva Jayate 2.

In an exclusive conversation with Filmibeat, he said, “I was working on a film with Taapsee Pannu and Vikrant Massey just before the lockdown. Some parts of the shoot are pending. Then, there is Satyamev Jayate 2 and Rangbaaz. I am looking forward to these roles. In addition to this, my web series Raktanchal was recently released.”

Daya Shankar Pandey is well known for his roles in Bollywood films like Swades, Ek Ajnabee and others.
