Popular Israeli series Fauda’s season 3 to launch on Netflix this week. The series revolves around a commando unit of the Israeli army whose members embed themselves in the Palestinian community, gathering intelligence and preventing terror attacks. This season, which is all set to launch this Thursday, will focus on Gaza.

In Israel, the first episode of season 3 was viewed about 1 million times in the first 48 hours after its debut in December. Netflix picked up the show in 2016, the year after its start in Israel. Interestingly, Both of the show’s creators — Avi Issacharoff, the Arab affairs reporter for the English-language Times of Israel news website, and actor Lior Raz, who stars, served in the army unit depicted in the series.

The promo of the third season has garnered tremendous response from fans and viewers are extremely thrilled to watch the series. Much like the previous two seasons, this season too will have a total of twelve episodes. The series features talented actors like Rona-Lee Shim’on, Idan Amedi, Lior Raz, and Laetitia Eido to name a few in important characters.

As a matter of fact, looking at the popularity of the series, Indian production house, Applause entertainment was in talks to create an Indian adaptation of the series. After Hostages (also an israeli adaptation), Fauda is set to be made for the Indian audience. Writing and development is underway, and the filming of the series is expected to commence early next year.
