Khichdi: Supriya Pathak AKA Hansa Has An Interesting Take On Her Chemistry With Rajeev Mehta AKA Praful

The excitement of all the Khichdi fans out there knew no bounds when news broke out of the popular sitcom being rerun on the small screen. But one person that we are all excited to see the most is the most beloved Supriya Pathak aka Hansa.

Now as the excitement builds, Supriya says that she is glad that the show is making a comeback especially at a time where the lockdown has dampened all our spirits. Pathak spoke about how her character in the sitcom is that of a carefree person and that of her husband, Praful played by Rajeev Mehta too shows people to look at life in a simpler perspective.

Speaking to Hindustan Times about the same, Supriya has been quoted saying, “Hansa and her husband Praful (played by actor Rajeev Mehta) take life as a happy part of their existence rather than a stress. So it’s very attractive for an audience to see that there are these two stupid characters that really just don’t take the stress of things. These characters look at life in a much more sane way, in the way we should be looking at life rather than making it all so exotic, difficult and complicated. They teach you how not to do that, how to be simple and live life for life – to be good, nice and happy.”

Backed by JD Majethia, Khichdi boasts of an impressive ensemble cast including veteran actor Anang Desai, Supriya Pathak, Rajeev Mehta and Vandana Pathak and JD himself. The sitcom revolves around the quirky nature of different members of the same family.

However, it was the Hansa-Praful jokes from the sitcom that made the day for most people back in the 2000s.
