Dheeraj Dhoopar On Winning 13 Awards For Kundali Bhagya: “Was Out Of Work After….”

Dheeraj Dhoopar is on a career-high currently after winning 13 awards in just one year for his show at several award functions. While the actor says that he has evolved as an actor over the years, there is nothing that he would like to change about his career at the moment. Dheeraj, who shot to fame with Sasural Simar Ka, says it is important for actors to know what works with the audiences.

Dheeraj also went on to say that while people commented on his looks earlier, he has worked very hard on his looks, his acting, and his fashion choices. The actor, who is currently seen in Ekta Kapoor’s Kundali Bhagya has opened up on winning as many as 13 awards in one year for his show.

Dhoopar has been quoted by Hindustan Times saying, “Somewhere, I must be doing something right that people are accepting and loving me so much. Every actor is hungry for appreciation, and awards are recognition and validation for one’s work. When you get appreciated, you keep working hard. My last show Sasuraal Simar Ka (SSK) ran for six years and the current show has been doing superbly well since it began. I did a few shows in the beginning of my career — sometimes they work for you and at times they don’t. But I believe in working on my craft, my personality and looks. What worked for me is that with time, I evolved as an actor. I groomed myself to achieve a certain look. Earlier, people would comment on my looks but in my current show, the audiences love my fashion sense, styling, clothes, hair and every day I get a number of requests about them.”

Dheeraj concluded saying that though Sasuraal Simar Ka made him a household name, it is his current show that has given him unparalleled success. “My last show SSK made me a household name but the success I got with my current show is unparalleled. I was out of work after SSK ended but three months later I got this show with Ekta Kapoor. It was all that I ever wanted, in fact, I had manifested it. I became a star with this show. My character is so popular and loved that it makes me really happy. It is a huge milestone in my career. I have loved my journey and I am living my dream.”
