Ayushmann Khurrana’s Dream Girl is bringing in some surprising numbers even during the weekdays. After scoring a half-century, the movie is managing to stay rock steady.

After collecting 7.40 crores, Dream Girl collected in the range of 6.50-7 crores on its day 6, as per the early trends flowing in. The grand total now stands at 65.90 crores–66.40 crores. Considering the pace of the movie and lack of major of competition, it might cross 100 crore mark in next 4-5 days.

Ayushmann, known for movies like AndhaDhun, Vicky Donor and Badhaai Ho, calls Dream Girl his most commercial, masala film to date.

“I have always experimented with genres, with roles and scripts and I wanted to do something a little bit out there this time and have a lot of fun with it,” he said.

“It’s a quintessential, hilarious Bollywood comedy that we have all seen and grown up on and it also has a solid script. That’s a prerequisite for any film that I decided to back. It has to be out of the ordinary. The freshness and the innovativeness of the concept excited me to do this film,” he added.

Directed by Raaj Shaandilyaa, Dream Girl, a romantic comedy, also features Nushrat Bharucha, Abhishek Banerjee, Nidhi Bisht and Manjot Singh.
