Article 15 Box Office Day 1 Early Trends: Ayushmann Khurrana has been at the peak of his career with films like AndhaDhun and Badhaai Ho last year that received rave reviews from critics and were widely welcomed by the audiences. Now, the actor is back on the big screen with crime drama, Article 15, which released yesterday. But will Article 15 continue the success streak for the actor? Here’s what the early trends have to suggest.

According to the early trends flowing in, the Anubhav Sinha directorial has collected numbers in the range of 4.50-5.50 crores. Now, this is great considering the low budget of the film. Furthermore, if this happens to be true, Article 15 will end up becoming Ayushmann’s 2nd Highest opener, only after Badhaai Ho (7.29 crores). Celebration calls on the way?

‘Article 15’ is based on Article 15 of the Indian Constitution that prohibits discrimination of Indians on grounds of religion, race, caste, sex or place of birth, and it takes inspiration from true life events.

Actor Ayushmann Khurrana says his forthcoming film “Article 15“, an investigative thriller, should be declared tax free in the country.

Ayushmann was interacting with the media during the special screening of the movie on Wednesday.

Asked if “Article 15” should be declared tax free by the state governments in India, he said: “I definitely feel that this film should be declared as a tax free film because it is necessary that this film should reach every part of the country. It’s not a comedy or an entertaining film. It is based on a vital subject, so it should reach maximum number of people.”
