According to sources, both the films will present the star in an avatar which the fans have seen him in over the years. While Yamla Pagla Deewana Phir Se is a quintessential comedy which also stars Dharmendra and Bobby Deol in lead, Bhaiyyaji Superhit will see Sunny Deol in a double role for the first time in his career.
Yampla Pagla Deewana Phir Se is the third installment of the Yamla Pagla Deewana Franchise. While the first part of the film was a sleeper hit, the second installment failed to live onto the expectations. Recently, Bobby Deol revealed that they have been cautious in making the third part of the franchise and are hopeful that the film will strike gold at the Box-Office. According to trade sources, the film will hit the big screen on 13th July 2018 and the theatrical trailer will be attached to the prints of Race 3, however an official announcement from the makers is still awaited. Recently, Bollywood stars like Salman Khan, Sonakshi Sinha, Rekha and Shatrughun Sinha shot for a special promotional song of the film, and it is said to be shot on a grand scale. The song will also feature the Three Deol’s dancing with other stars.
Sunny Deol’s next release is Bhaiyyaji Superhit that is confirmed to hit the big screen on 14th September 2018. The film revolves around the story of a gangster who aspires to become a Bollywood Superstar, and is essentially about what happens when the gangster meets a similar looking guy. The film was stuck in the production for several years, however director Neeraj Pathak reshot a few sequences recently to make the film palatable for audience keeping the current sensibilities in mind. The film also stars Preity Zinta, Arshad Warsi, Shreyas Talpade and Ameesha Patel in pivotal roles.
