Padmaavat has finally entered in the prestigious 300 crore club at the Indian box office but along with this there is one more record it has shattered at the worldwide box office. Starring Ranveer Singh, Shahid Kapoor and Deepika Padukone, the movie not only has turned highest grossing movie for everyone but also created a benchmark which will be tough to cross even by the biggies.

Padmaavat has earned 300.26 crores (nett) at the box office which takes its gross amount to 384.33 crores. Adding the overseas amount of 120 crores the movie now stands at the grand total of 560.33 crores at the worldwide box office. The movie has crossed the 500 crore mark and is just below Aamir Khan’s Dhoom 3 which stands at 558 crores.

On this tremendous success, the director recently said “What better gift can I expect than this wholehearted acceptance of my film? There were threats and risks of violence and yet families all across the country went to see Padmaavat. It gives me feeling of tremendous gratitude.

“I’ve been through so much during the past year, I am numbed. It is baffling why the situation was allowed to get out of hand in the first place. I can only thank the audience for going to see my film in spite of the threats,” said Bhansali, whose one big fear is that the fringe elements will target other films.
