Is Eros Planning To Opt Out Of Deepika Padukone Starrer Padmavati?

Looks like Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s next, titled Padmavati is currently surrounded by multiple issues. The period drama which is to star Deepika Padukone in lead had earlier run into problems thanks to its casting. Apparently, there had been a fall out between Ranveer Singh and Bhansali over Shahid Kapoor’s casting in the film for the lead role.

Post that was resolved, there were protests against Bhansali for working on the film and tampering with history from Patidar Navnirman Sena.

Landing into fresh troubles, it seems now Eros is backing out of this project soon. According to a report on Firstpost, with the film’s budget going to a massive 180 crores, it is finding hard to gain support from producers.

Also, there has never been an official announcement from Eros on this project so far and probably the reason has been the huge budget of the film. In the past, Eros had backed Bhansali’s Bajirao Mastani and Ram Leela.
