Join UsActor Vivek Oberoi is all set to play UP’s contract killer Virendra Pratap Shahi in an upcoming biopic. This big-budget gangster drama will be set in the backdrop of 80’s & 90’s in North India.
The untitled film will showcase the journey of Virendra from being a local goon in Gorakhpur to a deadly contract killer, who went over to kill more than 50 people.
Vivek Oberoi, who is known for playing rugged roles confirmed the news to a leading tabloid saying that, “I’m flattered that people still remember me as Chandu Bhai from Company and want to see me as a rough, rugged anti-hero. That’s what I will give them.”
This gangster flick will be directed by a debutante, though his name is not revealed yet. The film will go on floors in November this year & the casting of remaining characters will be announced soon.
