Tom Cruise is all set to court danger & pull off eye popping stunts yet again with ‘Mission Impossible: Rogue Nation’. The fifth film in the franchise features Tom doing quite a few risky stunts himself, including one in which he is stuck to the side of an airplane while it takes off to fly. Speaking on the stunt he said, “I wore a vest and had one wire that kept me to the side of the plane so I wouldn’t fly off as we were going down the runway,” he explained. “We did it eight times… we wanted to get it right.”

The actor stated that the fifth installment focuses on the human side of the MI team – their friendships, complications that develop & the team work of the Impossible Mission Force Team. He added, “This installment is about the complications of friendship that happen when enormous pressure comes down on these guys. Who do you trust and who should you not trust? Who is really going to be there for you when the chips are down? Who is going to keep their head under fire? And how can they work together to make things happen?”

This time, Ethan Hunt, Tom Cruise’s on-screen character, has to lead a team against an all encompassing faceless organisation, the Syndicate. He adds, “In this film, Ethan and his team come up against a terrifying villain who is a match for them, someone who challenges them physically, intellectually and emotionally. Right from the film’s first moments, Ethan and the team are on their toes, desperately moving from one situation to the next. The action is gripping but true to ‘Mission: Impossible’, within the suspense, there’s a lot of humour and romance,” Cruise added.

Releasing on August 7, “Mission: Impossible – Rogue Nation” is produced by Skydance and will be distributed in India by Viacom18 Motion Pictures.
