Join UsIs she, isn’t she? In a series of twists & U turns by various ministers from the Haryana State government, Parineeti Chopra’s role in her latest project ‘The Beti Bachao Beti Padhao’ campaign has made for intriguing news.
In the latest turn, Social Justice, Empowerment & Women & Child Development Minister Kavita Jain clarified to media persons that Parineeti has not been made a brand ambassador of this campaign in Haryana. Speaking at an event related to the campaign, she said that Parineeti is participating in this campaign and appeared at the event free of charge. She has come on board willingly as she hails from Ambala, a small town in Haryana.
A few days back, the health minister of Haryana had tweeted that the Chief Minister, Manohar Lal Khattar, had kept him in the dark about recruiting Parineeti as ‘brand ambassador’. The CM didn’t respond clearly to this.
Meanwhile, Parineeti has attended an event on behalf of the ‘Beti Bachao Beti Padhao’ campaign and spoken up for emancipation of the girl child. So far, Parineeti has not responded to the political brouhaha around her involvement with the campaign.
