The actor was elated with the honor presented to him and immediately thanked his fans for such love and affection on him.
At the event, SRK said, “To be really honest, before I knew it, the reason why my stardom became what it became was not just for that I was highly talented or I got some hit films. What started being told to me was that internationally, all the people from the subcontinent, specifically the Indians, the NRIs, are the ones responsible because my films do very well there.”
Shah Rukh is truly a global icon and his films have a mass appeal. He was last seen in Happy New Year. SRK is currently shooting for his upcoming film Fan which is being helmed by Maneesh Sharma. He will also soon start shooting for Rohit Shetty’s Dilwale which stars Kajol as his leading lady.
