As we had expected, Aamir’s PK has shown a brilliant performance so far and since the film has entered the 200 crore club, Aamir Khan has now jumped to the second position, second to Shah Rukh Khan.
While Salman Khan and Aamir Khan hold the same points, since Aamir holds more films, he is placed second. Shah Rukh Khan post his film Happy New Year made it to the 200 crore club, has been on the top position. Aamir Khan is currently 100 points away from SRK and may overtake him to become the contender.

Every movie aims to win the race at the box office window and break records be it an Opening Day record, Opening Weekend record, Fastest 100 Crore, 200 Crore, Overseas collections etc. Based on this Koimoi.com has created this Box Office Power Index.
The Weightage has been applied as mentioned below:
- Each 100 crore club movie has been given 100 points. So the number of movies in the club multiplied by 100 gives power points for 100 crore presence.
- Each 200 crore club movie has been given 200 points. So the number of movies in the club multiplied by 200 gives power points for 200 crore presence.
- Each Top 10 Overseas club movie has been given 50 points. So the number of movies in the Overseas list multiplied by 50 gives power points for Top 10 overseas presence.
- Sum of all the above points is the Total Box Office Power Index Points.
- When there is tie between 2 stars’ Box Office Power Index Points, then they are placed in the Box Office Power Index Position based on the collections of their respective film.
- Total Box Office Power Index Points leads to Box Office Power Index Position rating.
