Haider starring Shahid Kapoor in the lead role dropped a bit on its first Monday after having a steady first weekend. Despite being a semi-holiday for Eid, the film collected approx 5 crores on Monday i.e. Day 5. With this, the film now stands with a total collection of 31.78 crores at the domestic box office.

The film is scoring high on positive word of mouth. Also with rave reviews from the critics, the film has benefited immensely.

In spite of releasing with Bang Bang, Haider was not affected by it much. The film is not a typical commercial drama and thus it has had more appeal in the urban centers.
