Singham Returns is quite an enjoyable album, with the highlight of the album being Honey Singh’s ‘Aata Majhi Satakli‘. The film which is an action drama will score a notch higher, thanks to its good music. A good compilation put up by composers such as Jeet Gangulli, Meet Brothers Anjjan and Yo Yo Honey Singh, the album is good enough to entertain you through the film.

Sun Le Zara – Singham Returns Music Review
Any music album today is incomplete without a Arijit Singh track in it. Singham Returns too gets its Arijit track. The song ‘Sun Le Zara‘ comes as a surprise for this album, as the film is an out an out cop film. While Arijit Singh does a good job, the pat on the back goes for Jeet Gangulli who has composed it. The song starts on a low note but it picks up excellently in the guitar portions. With its semi-rock genre, the song is set to become a sure shot hit.
Singham Returns – Theme and Remix (MBA Swag) – Singham Returns Music Review
The ‘Singham’ theme composed by Ajay-Atul which was extremely popular after its first installment has been revised in this one. This time composed by Meet Bros. Anjjan, the track is sung by the energetic Mika Singh. Although a fast paced number, this track is completely missing out on the original theme. I used to find the ‘Jab Aave Singham‘ track an uplifting number which was powerful and energetic, signifying perfectly the ‘Bajirao Singham’ element. The remix version of the song has Punjabi beats to it. Unfortunately the remix version too doesn’t quite work.
Kuch Toh Hua Hai – Singham Returns Music Review
After Arijit Singh, the second most sought after singer currently is Ankit Tiwari. The famed Aashiqui 2 singer brings in a romantic track in Singham Returns. Kuch Toh Hua Hai is an ordinary love song but still likable. Experimentation wise, the song shows no novelty as the musical arrangements are not peculiarly impressive. It is the vocals of both Ankit Tiwari and Tulsi Kumar that work for this song. Although if you compare this song to the ‘Singham‘ romantic track ‘Badmaash Dil‘, certainly the older track was much better. All I can is that this song is not as bad to hear once or twice, but not worthy of entering your playlists or love song favorites list.
Aata Maajhi Satakli – Singham Returns Music Review
This song is the show stealer of this album. Honey Singh once again impresses us with this excellent track, using the signature dialogue of Singham ‘Aata Maajhi Satakli‘ and weaving it into an amazing party track. If ‘Lungi Dance‘ became a sensation for Rohit Shetty’s ‘Chennai Express‘, this one is sure to become a mega hit too. With a brilliant tempo, the song uses the vocals of Mamta Sharma extremely well. Highlight of this song is surely the line ‘Mala Raag Yatoy‘ which is sung by a kid. Honey Singh yet again proves with this song that he is capable of creating chart busters and why he is a key element for any music album today. This one is my personal favorite and I bet all those who like to have a crazy time with upbeat music will enjoy this number.
The Last Word – Singham Returns Music Review
The ‘Singham Returns‘ album is overall well blended. While my expectations were of a minimum two songs in the album, this five track album works just fine for the film. Director Rohit Shetty surely has an ear for music, since he has roped in different composers for different tracks which works quite well for the album. I am going with 3/5 for this album.
