Issaq: 1st Friday (Day 1) Box Office Collections

Manish Tiwary’s Issaq is a film based on Shakespeare’s popular dramatic tragedy ‘Romeo and Juliet’. Setting it on an Indianized canvas, the film was too much art with too little substance and the romance angle was missing absolutely! As per early estimates, on its opening day, Issaq made an approximate business of 1 crore at the domestic box office.

The film’s stellar ensemble cast couldn’t save its grace as most actors were left unused and the film’s screenplay was extremely faulty. However, the beauty and charisma of Benaras is what make Issaq a decent show!

But despite ample promotion and good music, this Prateik Babbar and Amyra Dastur starrer couldn’t collect good moolah at the Box Office.
