The four days domestic total of the film is 24.25 Crores, which is indeed great. Going by the film’s trade pace, we can easily estimate that the film will end up doing over 30 crores 1st Week business at the Box Office.
While Shootout at Wadala and Bombay Talkies is gearing up to fight it out this Friday, Aashiqui 2 has its chance at the box office till these come to claim their place. The film performed well in Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan and CI circuit acquiring its maximum earnings from these demographical regions. Iron Man 3 largely occupied the multiplexes and urban audiences, Aashiqui 2 did not deteriorate and managed to go stable in the multiplexes too.
Despite the great pick up, the film will suffer from restrained lifetime collections because of the big and more anticipated films that will release in the next few weeks to come. For now, it would be safe to say the film is already a hit. Looks like it is Chug time for Team Aashiqui 2.
