“My Achievement Will be my Film’s Remake” SRK

The Badshah of tinsel town,Shahrukh, envisions his proud moment would be when his own films will be remade. SRK who has done two remake films,namely Devdas and Don, tags them to be iconic ones.

SRK voiced at the launch of Filmfare’s 100 Years of Cinema “I did two iconic films — one is Dilip Kumar’s ‘Devdas’ and the other one is Amitabh Bachchan’s ‘Don’. I never chose my films. Films and directors chose me. Sanjay Leela Bhansali told me ‘there is something in your eyes’ and then he asked me to do ‘Devdas’.” Whereas “Farhan Akhtar thought I could play the character of ‘Don’. But I am not thinking about remaking any film now.”

“Hopefully, a time will come when somebody will remake one of my original films and that will be a great achievement and proud moment for me,” Badshah elatedly spoke.

Quoting his life, ‘complete’ after getting the golden opportunity to feature along with DIlip Sahab and Amitabh Bachchan for the Filmfare cover, SRK further ideates “I had a marvellous time shooting for the photo shoot with Dilip Kumar and Amitabh Bachchan. I feel my life is complete now. When I was shooting with Dilip Kumar and Saira Banu, Saira ji came to me and said if she had a son he would have looked like me.They have seen so much in life and you can see that in their eyes. It’s a wonderful moment that they have given me.”

We all know that Shahrukh, has been showered with tags like, ‘Badshah’, ‘King Khan’ and ‘King of Romance’, but when asked to pick his personal favorite, with dimpled nonchalance he said “Papa is the best one, and that’s my favourite. It was given to me by my two only legal children.”

The one, surely missed at the launch, was DIlip Sahab, who couldn’t make it to the gala launch, owing to his health reasons, but he did send his best wishes to all.

SRK, who is super-busy during the IPL cricketing season, with his team Kolkata Knight Riders, is also ardently awaited by fans, to be spreading his charm on the silver screen, with Rohit Shetty’s Chennai Express, opposite leggy-lass Deepika Padukone, slated to release soon.
