The comic caper Golmaal 3 continues to rule the box office in its second week, even as the Akshay Kumar-Aishwarya Rai starrer, Action Replayy has met with little success at the Indian box-office. While both films released simultaneously on November 5, Golmaal 3 found favour with the Indian audiences, raking in a first week collection of Rs. 62 crore nett.
Pamela Anderson To Sashay With Salman Khan In Bigg Boss
While all of the last week’s (November 12) Hindi releases, A Flat, Ramaa The Saviour and Dunno Y Na Jaane Kyun.. did dismal business over the weekend, Golmaal 3 continued to rule the roost. The Hollywood film, The Social Network, based on the life of Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg, also did reasonably good business over the weekend.
3 Idiots is still the highest-ever grossing film ever in the Hindi film industry.
Box-Office Record
It is interesting to note that Golmaal 3 has set a new record, clocking the fourth highest box-office collections for the first week, for any Hindi film. With a box-office collection of Rs. 62 crore (620 million), Golmaal 3 follows Salman Khan’s Dabangg (Rs. 81 crore), Aamir Khan’s 3 Idiots (Rs. 80 crore) and Aamir’s Ghajini (Rs. 62 crore).
However, it is to be noted that despite having a lower 1st week box-office collection than Dabangg, 3 Idiots is still the highest-ever grossing film ever in the Hindi film industry.
