Amitabh Bachchan Is Finally On Facebook

The two words can create an indelible impact on the lives of millions, a name that people have crooned for ages, the survivor who has battled against all odds and emerged victorious, that’s Amitabh Bachchan! An actor who is no less than a phenomenon is unarguably the best in the business ever. When it comes to Bollywood success stories, very few can even come close to this 6 feet something tall man. As of stardom, Amitabh Bachchan’s power and strength is unmatchable.

With the social bug hitting him way back, Big B started conversing with his ardent fans through his blog, later opting for the micro blogging site, Twitter to interact with the masses. After over two years in the social arena of Twitter, our Shahenshah has decided to take a plunge into Facebook. Obviously what followed was a total mass hysteria about the incident. Going live on Facebook today, Amitabh Bachchan has already reached out to almost 10 lakh followers. That in itself speaks volumes about the monumental structure that this man is made up of.

While we recently had a check, we found that his Facebook page already had 9, 67,423 likes and 1, 26,797 people were talking about it. The response to Sr Bachchan’s page has been humungous, to be precise!

“Facebook needs no introduction and I feel that my official Facebook fan page was long overdue. Facebook is a powerful tool that helps bring people together and allows us to embrace being a part of a larger community. I have been encouraged by the overwhelming reception to my tumblr blog, and this is another avenue to reach out to my fans, not only in India, but globally,” was the word from Bachchan saab while he inaugurated his FB page.

History has it that the Bachchans garner the best publicity and this time, it’s no different. Along with updates from his Twitter handle, Amitabh Bachchan also released a video which also had a short message for all AB fanatics.
“I am now on Facebook…. Year after year, month after month, day after day, we just keep coming closer to each other. Lovely to have you here and we shall be seeing each other and you will be getting to know more about me and my daily activities through this wonderful medium” was the message conveyed to millions around globally by our international icon!

With the Social Media platform being Amitji’s biggest weapon of sorts, Facebook will surely be the up-close-nd-personal medium to interact with the mega star. His Facebook page will have a mix and match of infotainmwnt. While there would be juicy stories about his upcoming films on one hand, show videos and images from his private collection will be up for display on the other!
