Dirty or not, Vidya Balan’s charms still work at the box-office! With Kahaani making nett Rs. 13.50 crore in its first weekend, the actress has proved her mettle at the windows. The film, which released on 9 March, made Rs. 75 lakhs with its paid previews on Thursday. The thriller went on to make Rs. 2.75 crore on Friday, Rs. 4.75 crore on Saturday and Rs. 5.25 crore on Sunday.
Chaar Din Ki Chandni, which released on 8 March, didn’t share the same luck. The Tusshar Kapoor starrer had a dull stint at the windows with Rs. 3.50-3.75 crore nett over its 4 days at the box-office.
London Paris New York was very low with Rs. 5.50 crore nett in its first week. Word of mouth worked for Paan Singh Tomar as the film gathered steam to collect around Rs. 7.50 crore.
Jodi Breakers couldn’t break the jinx and just managed Rs. 9.75 crore in its second week. Tere Naal Love Ho Gaya fared better with made Rs. 5.50 crore approx. in its second week.
