When Chris Pratt Almost Died While Riding A Horse On A Romantic Beach Getaway: “I Was Like, ‘This Is It'”

Sometimes, romantic escapades turn into a dreadful experience and stay engraved in people’s minds. Many of you would agree with this. At least the Guardians of the Galaxy star Chris Pratt would! The actor once had a near-fatal incident on a romantic break, and that was years even before his relationship with Anna Faris. During the promotion of his film The Magnificent Seven, the actor shared this frightful incident several years ago.

Chris gained recognition and fame as Andy Dwyer in the Parks and Recreation series, and after appearing in several movies as a supporting actor, his breakthrough came after playing Star-Lord in the MCU and as Owen Grady in the Jurassic World films. Pratt has also lent his voice in several animated movies and for the lead character. As per Cosmopolitan, while promoting The Magnificent Seven, Chris Pratt graced the celebrity talk show Late Night With Seth Meyers. During his time on the show, he shed light on his equation with horses and said, “I didn’t fully put together that it was a living animal, I would just jump … and also my confidence would quickly outgrow my skill.”

Chris Pratt revealed that once, in a romantic getaway, he almost died after bouncing off a horse. He recalled, “The horse just took off running, and my feet came up on the stirrups; my feet were up in the air.”

He continued, “My head was bouncing off the horse’s ass, I was seconds from death … I was like, This is it, I’m gonna die. In that moment, we broke up in my head.” Chris revealed that he was saved because of his then-girlfriend, who apparently knew how to speak to horses.

On the personal front, Chris Pratt was married to Anna Faris for eight years, and they even have a kid together. The Jurassic World star is currently married to Katherine Schwarzenegger, daughter of Hollywood legend Arnold Schwarzenegger.

On the work front, Chris Pratt’s The Super Mario Bros Movie was a blockbuster at the theatres, and the animated movie earned $1.36 billion worldwide.
