Brad Pitt in the 1990’s delivered back to back hits with movies such as Thelma and Louise and Interview With a Vampire, among others. The Hollywood biggie also reached new heights of fame when he played the role of Detective David Mills in the crime thriller Seven directed by David Fincher. The movie released in 1995 is still considered the gold standard when it comes to making thrillers. However, did you know an incident on the movie set concerning Pitt made the director change the script? Scroll down to know the details.

On the personal front, Brad Pitt is currently involved in a messy court battle with his former wife, Angelina Jolie, over their kids custody. While he is busy with legal cases, he is also rumoured to be dating Ines de Ramon. The two were first linked in late 2022.

Speaking of Brad Pitt’s Seven, according to Showbiz Cheatsheet, director David Fincher had to change the whole script after Pitt injured his tendon on the set. The writers had to re-work the script in order to align the actor’s injury with the movie. Brad Pitt ended up injuring himself just three days into filming. A source on the same stated, “Brad Pitt was shooting a chase scene on the L.A. set of Seven when he slipped on the rain-slicked hood of a car, rammed into the glass, and severed a tendon in his hand, requiring an emergency ward visit and several stitches.”

David Fincher then decided to film his movie with Brad Pitt’s serious injury. In the movie, Pitt’s character, Detective David Mills is seen chasing the baddie through buildings and the rainy streets but soon falls off a fire escape and hits the ground.

From that point on in the movie, Pitt is shown with an injured arm with a cast. The Oscar-winning star got injured in real life after his arm went through the windshield of a car during the chase. He even got a surgery done on his arm.

David Fincher had to continue the shoot to make sure the production did not shut down and therefore, he made the injury a part of Brad Pitt’s character. Since the movie was not shot in a sequential order, Fincher even had to make efforts to hide Brad Pitt’s injury on many occasions.

Actors like Tom Cruise and Viggo Mortensen also made headlines earlier for getting severely injured on the movie sets.
