Ghayal Once Again has done strictly okay business at the Box Office in its first week. After taking a decent opening, the film had to show good jumps over the weekend and then stay ultra-steady during the weekdays. None of that happened though. While there were no drops during the weekend, the jump was clearly missing. Also, though there was not a drastic fall on Monday, the collections did start dipping on a daily basis quite steadily, if not alarmingly.

As a result, the film currently stands around the 34 crore* mark. If the film’s collections would have been steady, one could still have expected the Sunny Deol starrer to get more moolah in the second week. Moreover, there are two good releases this week – Fitoor and Sanam Re, which would divert audience attention too. It would be a wait and watch period for the film to make a dash towards the 50 crore mark.

The film would still do better than the lifetime total of last few Sunny Deol starrers:

Ghayal Once Again [2016] – 34 crore* [still running]
Yamla Pagla Deewana 2 [2013] – 36.80 crore
Singh Saab The Great [2013] – 36 crore

Sanam Teri Kasam had opened to low numbers on Friday but saw good jumps over the weekend. It was quite stable during the weekdays too, hence bringing in around 9 crore*. However, since there are two more romantic films that have released this week, there is a drastic cut in shows for the Radhika Rao-Vinay Sapru film. The good news for the film is that Himesh Reshammiya’s music would live on for quite some time and both the newcomers, Harshvardhan Rane and Mawra Hocae, have showed good promise.

Airlift continued to be strong in the third week too and brought in 12 crore* more. This was pretty much aided by the jump it had taken over the weekend. Currently standing around the 124 crore* mark, the film may just stretch along to hit 130 crore. Superhit.
