Aamir Khan manages to raise the bar once again, as his film Secret Superstar, starts off on a positive note in Hong Kong. After being showered with love by people in China, its ready to make an impression in Hong Kong as well.
The film, which previewed in Hong Kong for over 2 weeks, was finally released yesterday and received a positive response as it managed to collect HK $310,014 on its opening. Up till date, the film has collected a total of HK $2,742,482 (2.28 crores), including its earnings from preview screenings.

Talking about Secret Superstar’s global success, Vibha Chopra, Head of Zee Studios International (Film Marketing, Distribution, and Acquisition), said, “Secret Superstar is a film that is bound to connect with many hearts. Zaira has done a wonderful job holding this film together and doing well in markets that are considered unconventional. It was amongst the top four in Turkey and amongst the top 10 in the UK, and we are going to continue putting all our strengths together to get more eyeballs to this film in the coming weeks. This is definitely a story that must be told.”

Secret Superstar tells the story of Insiya, a girl who hails from an orthodox family in Kashmir, who dreams of becoming a singer and fulfills it by keeping her identity hidden. Directed by Avait Chauhan, the film features Zaira Wasim in the lead. She also played Aamir Khan’s on-screen daughter in Dangal, which became a gargantuan success globally.
