Join UsTrust Lady Gaga to do things her way. After releasing the country version her song Born This Way, the 25-year-old singer has now teamed up with Bollywood music composers Salim and Sulaiman Merchant for a Bollywood remix of the song. You can listen to the remix version here.
The American pop singer tweeted, “I worked with some Indian Producers on “BORN THIS WAY” to show all the little monsters in India that I appreciate you!” Not too long ago, Gaga’s video of Born This Way had offended Hindus because of the symbolism in it. But looks like Gaga found an innovative way of getting over by roping in Bollywood for the very task of making its remix! While Salim has lent his voice to the new version, the musical duo have also added a sitar, dholak and dhol, all instruments that hail from parts of India and the Middle East to the original song.
This isn’t the first time that Bollywood have collaborated with singers from the west. The sexy Pussycat Dolls mixed A. R. Rahman’s Jai Ho with their number You Are My Destiny.
