Singham Crosses Rs 100 Crores!

Looks like Ajay Devgan’s gun-toting-hot-headed cop role finally paid off! His film Singham crossed Rs. 100 crores net in India in its 6th week at the box-office. Director Rohit Shetty’s Singham is the 7th film of all time to have crossed the Rs. 100 crores mark.

Even though the film stands tough competition from Salman Khan’s Bodyguard, the action flick continues to run in cinemas and will complete 50 days on 10 September.

Buoyed by the success, Sanjeev Lamba, CEO, Reliance Entertainment said, “A hard-hitting story, the wonderful combination of director Rohit Shetty and star Ajay Devgn and some amazing action sequences have resulted in an extremely successful run for the film. Singham is the first mainstream film produced by Reliance Entertainment and we are very pleased with the results.”

With Ajay and Rohit joining hands once again for Bol Bachchan, can we presume a winner there too?
