A Street Named After A.R.Rahman In Canada

Maestro A.R. Rahman has had many triumphs to his credit but the most recent one to join his tall tower of accolades is that a street in Canada has been named after the popular Indian Music Director. A street in Markham Ontario Canada now has been named as Allah Rakha Rahman Street.

The music director who has won 15 Filmfare Awards also has to his credit, 2 Oscars, 2 Grammy Awards, a BAFTA and a Golden Globe respectively along with 4 National Awards to his credit. An excited and ecstatic Rahman tweeted about this saying, “Welcome to my street! (In Markham, ON, Canada).”

It is indeed a matter of national pride that the world is saluting the genius of a man who is one of India’s most prized living legends.
