Sanam Re starring Pulkit Samrat, Yami Gautam, Rishi Kapoor and Urvashi Rautela in key roles is all set to entertain us in the Valentine’s week. The romantic drama with a love triangle is directed by Yaariyaan fame Divya Khosla Kumar. The music of the film has been composed by various artists such as Mithoon, Jeet Gannguli, Amaal Mallik.

Here’s a look at the music album of Sanam Re:
Sanam Re – Sanam Re Music Review
The title song of Sanam Re has a catchy quality to it. The song will appeal to many, who have a penchant for romantic songs. Composed by Mithoon, the song has been sung by Arijit Singh. ‘Sanam Re’ has a good variation when it comes to the beats. It sounds like one of the songs that can be easily found in Bhatt film soundtrack. Sanam Re is likable enough.
Gazab Ka Hai Yeh Din – Sanam Re Music Review
Amaal Mallik is quickly becoming one of the most sought after music composers today. One can certainly trust him to give some of the freshest tracks. Gazab Ka Hai Yeh Din is yet another addition to his easily likable, light enjoyable numbers. This is more like a journey song that one would enjoy listening to when on an adventure. Arijit Singh croons it with a lot of ease and the soft strumming of the guitar blends well to create a easy-going feel to the song.
Hua Hain Aaj Pehli Baar – Sanam Re Music Review
Amaal Mallik’s second track in the album is Hua Hai Aaj Pehli Baar. A light romantic number, the song has been crooned by Armaan Mallik and Palak Muchhal. The song bears a few similarities with tracks like ‘Saawan Aya Hai‘ from Creature 3D. The best part about such songs is that, they may not be exceptional but they are not unbearable. This is more of a radio song, not a playlist number.
Humne Pee Rakhi Hai – Sanam Re Music Review
Humne Pee Rakhi Hai seems like an unncesessary addition to the album. The party song has lyrics that are cliched and even the beats are quite ordinary. This mix of club and EDM doesn’t work much. Rap portions too are not fun. Composed by Epic Bhangra, it has been crooned by Neha Kakkar and Jaz Dhami.
Kya Tujhe Ab Ye Dil Bataye – Sanam Re Music Review
Kya Tujhe Ab Ye Dil Bataye is a sad song from the album. The lyrics written by Manoj Muntashir are quite beautiful but unfortunately the music does not convey them well. The song’s musical arrangements are quite similar to Ek Villain‘s Awari at a point. Falak Shabbir gives a good variation with his vocals as he goes from low pitch to high pitch. But this Amaal Mallik composition from the album is the weakest.
Tere Liye – Sanam Re Music Review
Trust Mithoon to come up with the best mellow tracks. The start of Tere Liye itself is quite a musical treat. The Mithoon-Ankit Tiwari combination has proved to be deadly in the past but with Tere Liye it does not work well. While the music is exceptionally well, I find Ankit’s vocals unfit for it. His high pitch portions are unnecessary and after a point get irritating since they take away all the attention from the song lyrics.
Tum Bin – Sanam Re Music Review
Jeet Gannguli reprises the famed title track of ‘Tum Bin‘ with Shreya Ghoshal. The lyrics have been changed but I must say, it lacks the Nikhil-Vinay song flavor. Even though Shreya croons it with her soulful voice, there is something amiss with the track. A comparison cannot be drawn between the two since the former one is way better.
Chhote Chhote Tamashe – Sanam Re Music Review
This Jeet Gannguli composition is a kiddie number. The beats are peppy and cheerful with Shaan singing as though it is a school song. The musical arrangements are vibrant. It is a situational number and may appeal if the video is enjoyable.
The Last Word – Sanam Re Music Review
The music of Sanam Re is decent. There is a mix of party, romantic and mellow numbers but not all will appeal you. My picks from the album are ‘Sanam Re‘, ‘Gazab Ka Hai Yeh Din‘ & ‘Hua Hai Aaj Pehli Baar‘. Amaal Mallik’s songs shine in this album. I am going with a 3/5 for it!
